Rotten Tomatoes Holds Justice League Score… and Reviews

Rotten Tomatoes scorings are often a way for filmgoers to get an idea of the quality of a movie without reading possible spoiler ridden reviews. Of course, the score could still change as more critics see the film over the weekend but it's probably not going to go above 50%.

Justice League releases this Friday and the producers have maintained a tight embargo on the reviews with the attempt to not spoil early bookings.

43% is the current Rotten Tomatoes score.

All of this is in the past, however, as we now know that Justice League has a 40% score. But Rotten Tomatoes claims there's nothing fishy happening, telling THR that "the company is making every attempt to pick a film whose reviews break closest to the air date of 'See It/Skip It'".

Rotten Tomatoes announced that the Tomatometer rating for Justice League won't be revealed until 12:01 a.m. EST on Thursday, November 16 in conjunction with the aggregator website's new Facebook show See It/Skip It. However, despite the fact that countless critics have put out their extensive thoughts on the project in the form of writing, some fans are still on the lookout for the overall consensus that review aggregating sites offer.

Justice League

If that is indeed the case, and Justice League performs poorly or even up to average, I would expect a complete overhaul for the DCEU, which may already actually be in the works.

Many entertainment writers and fans are skeptical of this reason and wonder how much the delay has to do with Warner Bros' influence and the film's less than dazzling critical showing.

The link between Tomatometer scores and box office returns varies by film, though a high score can boost a smaller film's chances of success, Vox said.

Rotten Tomatoes has become one of the most influential movie review sites for potential moviegoers.

"Justice League" stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Henry Cavill and unites Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and other superheroes in the DC universe. The film even lags behind Man of Steel (55 percent), but remains far ahead of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (27 percent) and Suicide Squad (26 percent). Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes - Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash - it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
