  • Destiny 2 Ranked PvP Promised for Year

Bungie was supposed to have their third and final Curse of Osiris stream this week, a mere seven days out from the launch of the somewhat anticipated first DLC for Destiny 2, but after the recent controversies, the unusually silent developer has chose to cancel the Twitch stream.

On Wednesday, Bungie will publish a blog post in place of the stream, which was meant to highlight "new rewards coming with Season 2 and the Curse of Osiris expansion".

"We had planned to conduct the final stream prior to the launch of Curse of Osiris to show off some of the weapons and armour the expansion includes", Bungie community boss David "Deej" Dague explained last night via a post on the game's forum.

Destiny 2 Shaxx 300 Power level engrams

For those who might not be up to speed with what's happening in the wild world of Destiny 2, it recently came to light that the amount of XP the game said players were earning wasn't exactly correct, in fact it was way off. "Our intention was to keep slower-paced activities as rewarding as high intensity grinding without confusing variations in displayed XP values, but the silent nature of the mechanic betrayed the expectation of transparency that you have for Destiny 2". And now, less than 3 months after launch, you can play Destiny 2 without spending a dime thanks to the free trial that Bungie introduced on Tuesday. The major issue is that the onscreen information seemed to suggest that XP was being gained/earned at a normal rate, but that wasn't the case.

The Curse of Osiris expansion is due out on Tuesday, December 5. We want Destiny to be a game that fits into your life, providing you with reasons to log in and play with your friends, clans, and families. Just look at the angry threads on the front page of the Destiny subreddit, which touch on issues like PS4-exclusive content, exotic emotes and a lack of variety.

Tonight, fans are expecting to hear from Destiny 2 top dog Luke Smith and number two Mark Noseworthy.
