Time Magazine's "Person of the Year" shortlist includes President Trump, special counsel Robert Mueller and Colin Kaepernick.

TIME's first selection was Charles Lindbergh, the first person to make a solo non-stop flight across the Atlantic.

Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named "Man (Person) of the Year", like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot.

Jenkins made history when her movie "Wonder Woman" made more than $100 million its opening weekend, making it the biggest domestic opening ever for a female director.

Colin Kaepernick, former San Francisco NFL player who began the kneeling movement during football games around the nation to protest police brutality and racism.

The magazine nominated North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, whom Trump has nicknamed "Little Rocket Man" and who has overseen ballistic missile tests that have raised fears of a nuclear confrontation.

The only other group entry is The Dreamers, undocumented child immigrants in the United States who Time says "face uncertain futures" amid White House plans to end Obama-era protection.

Kapernick is now not signed with a team, and recently filed a grievance against NFL owners, who he said blackballed him within the league. Dozens of male leaders in Hollywood, media, business, and politics, have since been accused, with notable figures losing their jobs over their alleged treatment of women in the workplace. Jenkins is the only female on the shortlist, though numerous #metoo members are women who have shared stories of sexual harassment or assault against Harvey Weinstein and others. The investigation has led to charges against four individuals including former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn. Two weeks ago, he claimed to have turned down an offer for this year's honor.

Xi Jinping, 64, was given a second five-year presidential term in China this year.

Time is expected to unveil the 2017 Person of the Year on Wednesday.
