Manchester United will be desperate to taste victory after the debacle that occurred midweek against Bristol City that saw them ousted from the Carabao Cup.

Mourinho has also confirmed Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ready to start a game in the Premier League for the first time since April after playing 69 minutes against Bristol City on Wednesday.

Against United, they will see the return of Nigerian youngster Onyinye Ndidi who has served his one game ban following his birthday red card against Crystal Palace.

United highlighted their "fixture frenzy" by publishing research on their website showing that "United have a harder time of it than our rivals towards the top of the table". The quarter-final appeared to be heading for extra-time as the two teams remained locked at 1-1 entering the final moments, but Korey Smith came up with a stoppage-time victor for Lee Johnson's side as the defending champions were embarrassingly eliminated from the League Cup.

He added: "Could I be critical of my players? I know I would never be in the top group but in the middle group we would like to be". Depicted by league statistics, United have played 1,176 long balls and stand 12th in line for the most number of long passes played this season.

Meanwhile, Leicester City are again expected to be without experienced defender Robert Huth due to foot injury as well as former Manchester United midfielder Matty James who is out with an Achilles problem.

'I joined the club when we were in League One.

"If we don't, it's finished but until last match of the season we have work to do".

The festive period of English soccer is one of the most hectic periods of the year.

They visit Leicester City tomorrow evening, before closing out the year with matches against Burnley and Southampton.

With the winter transfer window opening in nine days, Manchester United will be looking to strengthen going into the second half of the season.

If Mourinho didn't want this to come off as to say that Bristol City were lucky, then don't say Bristol City was lucky.

"All the questions are what the value of this player is but myself, as a coach, I prefer to stay with the more important players but on the other side I can understand the business side, too".
