Russian Federation today rejected a USA call to cut ties with Pyongyang, suggesting Washington has been doing everything to prompt North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un to "lose it".

"We see this negatively", he told journalists in the Belarusian capital Minsk.

December 1, 2017 (EIRNS)-According to Vitaly Pashin of the State Duma, the lower house of Russia's bicameral Federal Assembly, "North Korea is now ready to conduct negotiations with the USA with the participation of Russia as a third party", Pashin told TASS, commenting on the results of the talks between the Russian parliamentary delegation and the North Korean leadership in Pyongyang, Nov. 27-Dec. 1.

"If the United States drops out of this deal, it won't be very credible in the eyes of those who are now requested to drop their (own) nuclear program like North Korea", Lavrov said.

"The impression is that everything has been done to prompt Kim Jong-Un to lose it and take another reckless step".

"According to North Korean representatives, they were forced to demonstrate the ability to adequately respond to any aggression from the US, the ability to strike at any territory of America".

During an emergency UN Security Council meeting earlier this week, Haley warned that the isolated state's recent actions have brought "the world closer to war" and issued a direct threat to Pyongyang: "If war comes, make no mistake, the North Korean regime will be utterly destroyed".

"If they are looking for a reason to destroy North Korea, then they should say it straight and the American leadership should confirm it", Lavrov said in remarks released by the foreign ministry.

According to the minister, Pyongyang has refrained from launching missiles for over two months prior to the latest launch on Wednesday.

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly warned of a military scenario for North Korea, and recently included the country on the list of state sponsors of terrorism, paving the way for more sanctions.
