  • 'The Voice': What's next for Chloe Kohanski and Red Marlow?

23-year-old Chloe Kohanski, a Nashville, Tenn. native, was crowned victor of the reality competition show during Tuesday night's finale (Dec. 19), making Shelton the coach with the most wins ever on the show.

She beat out dozens of other top singers to become the latest champion of NBC's "The Voice".

Born and raised in the music city of Nashville, Kohanski was the only musician in her family and always knew she wanted to become a singer.

"I want to plan a tour, and I'm thinking about visuals for that as well". "That's my goal as an artist".

As the rightful victor of the illustrious competition, Kohanski received the coveted cash price of $100,000, as well as a recording deal with Universal.

Her original coach on the show was fellow Middle Tennessee native Miley Cyrus before getting stolen by Blake Shelton in the knockout rounds.

Backstage after Tuesday night's "Voice" finale, Shelton acknowledged that fact.

Continuing the competition with Team Blake, Kohanski delivered an impressive interpretation of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" during the playoffs, which earned her a spot in the Top 12.

Incidentally, Kohanski's cover of "Landslide" - the song that nearly got her eliminated by Cyrus - broke a record for the highest-charting song from the knockout rounds in "Voice" history. The country singer is planning to meet with his management and producer later this week, with the goal of booking concert dates for 2018 and starting work on a new album.

According to reports, Kohanski looked stunned as she was announced to be the victor for season 13 of "The Voice".

"The support, honestly, it's been overwhelming".

"I don't know that Adam's really on the radar anymore", Shelton continued, poker-faced.

'I used to think that it made me less relevant or held me back but for the first time it's pushing me forward'. "I'm dying to know what you come up with". "I can't wait to do something good for them".
