Right here's who would win if Oprah ran towards Trump

Winfrey certainly has the money, public backing, and oratory skills demonstrated again by her rousing Globes speech to be a serious contender. You don't go from zero to 100 just because you are a celebrity.

When asked earlier this week about a potential challenge from Winfrey in 2020, Trump responded, "Yeah, I'll beat Oprah".

I am reading with growing concern the vox populi crying for Oprah Winfrey to run for president in 2020.

Streep said she was drawn to the story by the strength of Graham's convictions at a time when there were few female voices in the media, let alone in senior positions.

So who's right and who's wrong?

Seth Meyers and his wife Alexi Ashe attend The 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 7, 2018 in Beverly Hills, California.

Warren was further back at 58 percent, but both she and Winfrey drew 21 percent in the neutral category.

Even so, for Democrats, the notion of a popular media figure as a presidential candidate is not as unusual as it once seemed.

If I was a gambling man, I'd bet that the whole Sunday night extravaganza, including Winfrey's heart-wrenching oration, was a set-up from soup to nuts.

According to Rasmussen Reports, Winfrey has the support of 76% of Democrats, 22% of Republicans, and 44% of voters not affiliated with either major political party. In other words, as long as the cultural junk food that Hollywood delivers on a perennial basis continues to feed the insatiable appetite for escape from an ever more brutal and grim reality, the rich and the corporations will continue to make like bandits when it comes to garnering more and more of the nation's wealth. That was the key to Obama's success and it looks like that Oprah is following his lead.

"I did one of her last shows", he added.

Ahh, another 8 years of hope and change.

Oprah Winfrey brushed off accusations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, saying "this is just how it is" for people who want to get ahead in the media industry.

Biden drew a leading 26 percent in the hypothetical four-way clash, followed by Sanders at 21 percent, Winfrey at 20 percent and Warren at 18 percent. Is she any more qualified than the incumbent, Donald Trump, now under siege by a liberal establishment whose rage at the failure of Hillary Clinton to be elected instead has and continues to be of inordinate intensity? "But I don't think she's actively considering it at this time", King said.

The picture of Oprah kissing Weinstein's cheek has been brought up as evidence that she had to have known.

From a Christian worldview perspective, the possibility of an Oprah candidacy opens up all kinds of moral and political and policy issues to be sure, but the concern about the celebrification of the culture, that's probably the more important issue.
