New witnesses came forward following a 2011 press conference about the case.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reopened the investigation into Wood's death in fall 2011.

In a news conference held Monday morning, Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives said Wagner declines to be interviewed after the case was reopened and he has been labeled a person of interest.

ABC News reached out to Wagner Monday, but didn't immediately hear back.

Circumstances surrounding Wood's death have been labelled "suspicious" by the Sheriff's Department, after new witnesses came forward last week.

However, Wood said in previous statements that she was terrified of the water.

Davern claimed Wagner "looked so angry. he was afraid for his own safety".

The show "48 Hours" has brought back conspiracy theories and possible motives for the actress' death.

In the documentary, Wagner is described as jealous over the relationship between Wood and Walken.

"We're doing our last shot here, seeing if anybody else comes forward with any information", Corina said.

Wagner has denied any involvement in Wood's death and his attorney has said he fully cooperated with investigators.

Davern later wrote that Wood left to go to her stateroom afterward, but he heard the two arguing in their room, making him turn up the volume on his radio.

Wood, who was best known for her roles in "Miracle on 34th Street", "West Side Story", and "Rebel Without a Cause", was 43 when she died on November 29, 1981.

"I was terrified, petrified, because we were in the open ocean". "Mr. Wagner has been interviewed on multiple occasions by the Los Angeles sheriff's department and answered every single question asked of him by detectives during those interviews". "The statements from these new witnesses differ from the original version of events as related by previous witnesses, including the individuals on the boat", the statement added.

Ms Berk also reportedly said the case was being exploited by publicity seekers.

Natalie Wood's Walk of Fame Star in Hollywood, on February 2, 2018.

In her younger years, she starred in some of the biggest hits of the 1960, from John Ford's The Searchers to Elia Kazan's Splendour In The Grass - the film which the boat, Splendour, was named after. She started out as a child actress in the late 1940s, which saw her playing roles in a number of well-known movies such as Miracle on 34th Street and Rebel Without a Cause.

Aside from Wagner's refusal to speak, Corina said they are facing another foe: time. "Time is our enemy". They divorced in April 1962 and re-married in 1972. Wood then remarried British producer Richard Gregson and gave birth to her daughter Natasha in 1970.

Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner arrive at the premiere of "The Godfather", on August 24, 1972, in London. Walken has spoken with police. He said investigators have received numerous calls since 48 Hours aired, and that new information has "made us more suspicious of what happened that weekend", he said. "But the bottom line is that nobody knows exactly what happened".
