There isn't a more public nor outspoken owner in the league than Cuban, he's near the team bench during games, he holds forth with the media more often than anyone else in his position and he's either wonderful for the league as a whole or a detriment, you can probably make a case for both. The woman said she had been told by others to be wary of Ussery. She told SI that while shocked she was not surprised because she had been warned about Ussery.

In fact, female employees identified the team's locker room as a safe haven from the misogyny in the front office. I let people do their jobs. "Then I'd go to the office and it was this zoo, this complete shit show". This employee was not candid about the situation and has been terminated.

"I am deeply disappointed that anonymous sources have made such outright false and inflammatory accusations against me", Ussery said. I made the decision that we would make him go to domestic abuse counseling as a requirement to continued employment, that he was not allowed to be alone without a chaperone in the presence of any other women in the organization or any other women in a business setting at all, and he was not allowed to date anybody [who works for the Mavericks].

The Dallas Mavericks fostered an environment of rampant sexual misconduct and predatory behavior for more than a decade, a Sports Illustrated story published Thursday alleges. It has been alleged that a former officer of the organization engaged in various acts of inappropriate conduct toward women over a period of years.

Incident: Terdema stops me near where the main door ... is and says to me "seriously ... just one time".

DALLAS (AP) - The NBA has fined outspoken Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban $600,000 for comments about tanking during a podcast with Hall of Famer Julius Erving.

"The Dallas Mavericks have informed us of the allegations involving former team president Terdema Ussery and Mavs.com writer Earl Sneed", the league said. Of course Mark knew.

"It's wrong", Cuban said in the story. Cuban denied knowledge of the behavior, telling the magazine,"this is all new to me. the only awareness I have is because I heard you guys were looking into some thing". And while it's perhaps promising that they've taken quick, decisive and significant action in response to this, parting ways with Pittman and Sneed, with Cuban saying "Based off of what I've read here, we just fired our HR person. I didn't read the police report on that until just (Tuesday), and that was a huge mistake obviously". Cuban insisted in his interview response that he did not know about any of the issues in the report. He tells SI how, following the outbreak of the me too movement, he went to his HR director and asked if they had a problem and that HR director told him no. One anonymous incident from January 17, 2008 said: "Terdema asks me if in another life would I marry him?"

There's no way we're going to get to the ginormous length of last weekend's mailbag because nothing has happened to create so many questions on one topic (although it is early and you never know) but that doesn't mean we can't get a lot of good, challenging questions. That's it. And we're going to take every step.
