Sony is expected to unveil new smartphones during Mobile World Congress next week. This led to speculations that the Sony device subjected for redesign is the Xperia XZ2, although it is not clear if there will be a major overhaul or just minor changes in some parts of the handset. Now, we have some new developments. Sony Xperia XZ2 will come in 725$ while XZ2 pro will likely follow this range.

This report also reveals pricing details for the two smartphones. Having said that, we have noticed in the past that Sony's devices are normally priced lower than most of their Samsung competitors.

Starting off with the flagship range, Swedish blog SweDroid claims that the Xperia XZ2 will sport a 5.7-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display. Now, some new information regarding the specs and pricing have emerged that give us a better idea of what we can expect at the event. Some of the other specifications included are 5.7-inch OLED display, 3420mAh battery and IP68 certification. The phone also consists a headphone port of 3.5mm jack, which means you can use only Sony Headphone to listening to the music. As expected, the phone will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. The report states that the phone will have a proprietary music feature that will make use of its vibration engine, details of which are now unclear.

The bezels will apparently be slim enough that the XZ2 Compact will be around the same size as the 4.6-inch Compact handsets of previous generations, such as the Xperia XZ1 Compact, despite the larger screen.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact may bear a price tag of 5,990 SEK, a sum roughly around Rs. 47, 940.
