Ramaphosa, the recently elected ANC president, is expected to deliver the state of the nation address on Friday evening. If the EFF believes that the 5th parliament is illegitimate, it could argue that its election of Ramaphosa is also illegitimate, and he should not have the right to address the national assembly.

However, Malema said the EFF would be in the House, and warned journalists to "wait and see" what the party's MPs would do during the sitting on Thursday.

The office of the presidency has yet to make an official statement on the briefing. "It's not over, we are going to fetch him from the village and go straight to Kgosi Mampuru prison".

The EFF said it had no faith in the ANC, called for the dissolution of Parliament and fresh elections.

But this week he celebrated as Zuma resigned as head of state, despite salivating over the possibility of leading a motion of no confidence against Zuma.

"If Baleka has not responded to the EFF letter of bringing forward motion of no confidence by tomorrow (February 13), the EFF is going to launch an urgent application in court because we are in a crisis", said Malema.

The EFF again protested as the Speaker of Parliament refused to allow their motion to debate the dissolution of Parliament.

After this realization, Malema and his colleagues in the youth league leadership began planning to replace Zuma with former president Kgalema Motlanthe at the ANC's Mangaung conference in 2012.

Somewhere in between his defiant afternoon interview with the SABC and his nearly measured suit-and-red-tie resignation speech in the later hours of Wednesday evening, Jacob Zuma must have had a Damascene conversion. He later apologised to the nation and now regards Zuma as having damaged the ANC and the country.

"Jacob Zuma has finally surrendered to the political pressure which the EFF was at the centre of for past three years".

"I told him [Zuma] when he expelled us, you are fighting the wrong people".
