Trump Slams 'Very Insecure' Oprah After 'Biased' 60 Minutes Interview

  • Trump: I hope Oprah runs in 2020 so she can be defeated

Trump's mocking remark about hoping for Winfrey to run for President comes in light of the fact that anti-Trump voices have continually called for her to run for President in 2022. It's a follow-up to her first story for the broadcast, a roundtable of 14 MI voters, half of whom voted for President Trump and half who did not.

The timing of this particular Oprah attack was particularly freakish because she reiterated in an accompanying 60 Minutes web video that she has no intention of running for president, and said of the Golden Globes moment that started the latest speculation, "I was just trying to give a good speech". The president slammed the questions for being "biased" and "slanted" and said the facts were "incorrect".

He labeled the questions "biased and slanted" and added that he hopes Winfrey runs for president "so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others".

However, Oprah has denied that she does not want to run for the post many times.

In one of her questions, she said some Congress members have been questioning his stability and fitness for presidency, and asked the voters what they think of that.

The REAL first lady: Is Ivanka Trump set to become first female President?

While moderating a panel of voters during the "60 Minutes" segment, Winfrey asked how they felt about Trump's recent comments referring to immigrants from "s--hole countries" such as Haiti and African nations. She's not unbeatable but if you're an incumbent president whose job approval is a cinch to be below 50 percent in 2020, who would you rather face?

Speaking to US InStyle magazine, Oprah said she "does not have the DNA" to be president. She says she was "stunned" by the reaction and insists her speech was not an attempt to wade into politics.

The former queen of daytime TV appeared on United States show 60 Minutes and it seems Trump had a lot to say about it. She explained she wanted to go back after learning that the group, hand-picked by Republican pollster Frank Luntz, had all stayed in touch since they first met last fall, socializing in person and meeting online to debate economic, security and cultural issues and even Trump himself.

However, as much as the people's clamor for her to run was too great, Oprah seemed to have released a conclusive answer. No, I like Oprah.

On Sunday night, Donald Trump came for Oprah Winfrey- because apparently POTUS doesn't know how the internet works.

Trump made multiple appearances on "The Oprah Winfrey Show", including in 1988 when he addressed the idea of running for president.

In the hours after the "60 Minutes" episode aired, Trump took to Twitter to bash Oprah. "And I think we've gotten that out of this". No, I like Oprah.
