As one of the most provocative shows of 2017, 13 Reasons Why tackled hard-to-talk-about subjects in a brutally honest way, and now Netflix is openly acknowledging its impact with a new intro.

The video, which features cast members Dylan Minnette (Clay Jensen), Katherine Langford (Hannah Baker), Justin Prentice (Bryce Walker), and Alisha Boe (Jessica Davis) out-of-character, will play before the first episode of each season of the show to let viewers know about some of the sensitive topics the show will be dealing with.

Finally Minette: 'And if you ever feel you need someone to talk with reach out to a parent, a friend, a school counsellor or an adult you trust, call a local helpline or go to 13reasonswhy.info'.

Netflix has also added a viewing guide to the website 13reasonswhy.info that is meant to help facilitate conversations between parents and teenagers about hard topics.

But before her suicide, she had recorded 13 tapes for 13 different people, explaining the reason behind her death and "blaming" them for it.

Following her death Hannah posthumously sends out 13 tapes, the contents of which contain the 13 reasons why she killed herself, which are nearly all fellow students.

The study didn't prove a link between the show and actual suicides.

"Soon after the Season 1 launch, we saw global conversation explode on the controversial topics covered by the series and understood we had a responsibility to support these important discussions", a statement on the show's website reads.

Those involved with the show, like executive producer Selena Gomez, have defended its content, saying they stayed true to Asher's book. He also said he hopes Netflix's recognition of his film would help open doors for other Filipino filmmakers. "I'm all about suicide prevention".

You'll be able to watch the movies on Netflix Canada the same day as the UK. The results were shared Wednesday at a panel in NY that featured experts in suicide prevention and teen activism, as well as Netflix original series vp Brian Wright and 13 Reasons Why showrunner and creator Yorkey.

Following the results of a recent survey conducted with viewers of 13 Reasons Why, Netflix has revealed their planned inclusion of supportive messaging for future episodes, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

"It's very graphic, especially the two-minute scene where she slits her wrists in a bathtub", he told KTVU about the show.
