Sexton took the inbounds pass, drove length of the court and hit a running scoop shot from just inside the elbow to give Alabama a 71-70 win over Texas A&M. The team's split their series during the regular season. The Aggies won the most recent matchup 68-66, but were unable to cover as 5-point favorites. He finished the game with 23 points and 19 of the points came in the second half. The Aggies had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (38.1 vs. 31.8) and had a better turnover percentage (14.3 vs. 15.7). The maroon and white battled back after trailing by 12 points with under 13 minutes remaining in the game, but their late effort wasn't enough. Meanwhile, Alabama ranks 279th in the nation at corralling defensive rebounds with a defensive rebounding percentage of 69.0 percent. The Alabama Crimson Tide are shooting 32.3 percent from beyond the arc and 66.9 percent from the free throw line.

Now it's on to Auburn for Alabama, a rivalry game with big stakes.

The Alabama Crimson Tide (17-14) are riding in a five-game losing streak before entering the postseason.

Texas A&M averages 41.3 rebounds per game, which ranks fifth in the nation.

A&M freshman guard TJ Starks then swooshed a jumper from the top of the key with 39 seconds remaining to tie the game up at 67-67.

The Tide started the game strong and it seemed as if they would finish strong as well.

The crux of Alabama's resume are its six quadrant 1 wins, one each over Auburn, Tennessee, Rhode Island and Florida and a pair against Texas A&M.

This buzzer-beater was the flawless way to end this game, which was a back-and-forth affair in the final two minutes.
