  • Nixon slams de Blasio Cuomo over NYCHA ‘pissing contest

Which makes us think of the words Carrie Bradshaw so often wrote on the show: We "couldn't help but wonder".

Sarah Jessica Parker has finally broken her silence on Sex and the City castmate Cynthia Nixon's run for NY governor, but stopped short of an endorsement.

The New York gubernatorial election may still be months away, but Cynthia Nixon has already locked down three votes - those of her Sex and the City castmates.

"Cynthia has been my friend and colleague since we were little girls", Parker said through her spokeswoman.

Nixon is challenging Governor Andrew Cuomo for the Democratic nomination.

As much as Nixon deserves to be left out of that mess, though, she ended up landing in some Sarah Jessica Parker drama of her own. In fact, the ongoing feud about a potential third movie, Nixon's run for governor is going rather smoothly with her former castmates.

Former Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon is the latest politician to turn a critic's derogatory slam into a rallying cry for supporters.

While Page Six implied this meant SJP was possibly "undecided" about Nixon's run for governor, that concern turned out to be short-lived: This morning, Sarah Jessica Parker gave Nixon her full support via an Instagram post.

"I'm excited to support someone I have [known] for 20 years to be one of the most intelligent and caring people in my life!" she tweeted. Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte York, tweeted her support on the day Nixon officially announced her campaign. "I know that she cares deeply about the issues facing all of us".

"New York is where I was raised and where I'm raising my kids", she said in an ad announcing her candidacy.
