Woman arrested after allegedly attacking husband for forgetting anniversary

In a mobile phone video, the woman is strung up in public and her husband lashes out at her until she collapses.

A WOMAN was flogged more than 100 times by her own husband before a baying crowd tried to rape her when she collapsed. The woman was tied to a tree and thrashed in front of the villagers.

Moreover the incident is believed to have occurred on March 10 in Bulandshahr district on Uttar Pradesh, it came to light after the video went viral on social media. Each time she receives a hit, the woman can be heard screaming in agony.

Stone's husband told authorities the assault started as verbal dispute when he told her he forgot their anniversary.




The woman was badly injured and filed a complaint against her husband a week after the beating.

According to the woman's statement, it was true that she did have a boyfriend she eloped with.

The woman's mother, Noppawan Nantakit, said her daughter is a third-year student at Kasetsart University and there was no apparent motive for the attack. The couple stayed at Lodhi's relatives' house in a different village. "In order to teach her a lesson the panchayat took this step".
