Philly has won 12 straight games and sit just a half game behind the Wine & Gold in the Eastern Conference Playoff picture.

Simmons poured in 27 points to go with 15 rebounds and 13 assists to record his 12th triple double of the season - fourth before the end of the third quarter - but the Sixers needed every bit of it as James poured in 44 points to go with 11 rebounds and 11 assists. JJ Redick hit four 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 28 points for the 76ers, while Marco Belinelli came off the bench to add 23 points on 6 of 12 from beyond the arc.

76ers: The 78 points were the most the Sixers had scored in any half since they had 80 on February 11, 1992, vs. Miami.

"I mean, we dug ourselves that hole", James said after his 18th triple-double of the season which included 11 rebounds and 11 assists. He is now the only player in National Basketball Association history to have recorded two 40 point triple-doubles in the same season. Toronto never trailed in setting team records with 57 wins and 33 home victories.

In its 111-104 win over the Chicago on Friday night, Boston showed that at the very least it has a remaining group of players eager to step up and contribute to its injury-torn rotation.

On the season, the 76ers are averaging 109.1 points, 47.2 rebounds and 26.8 assists per game.

The Philadelphia 76ers are beating teams into the ground during this 10-game winning streak, but they're still without their best player, and when these teams met a couple of weeks ago, the Nets only lost by four points. Heading into the half, the 76ers were up by 23 points.

Rookie Damyean Dotson had career-high 30 points and 11 rebounds in the Knicks' 122-98 blowout over the Heat.

Programming Note: On Friday, FOX Sports Ohio is airing the Reds - Pirates game (7:00 p.m.) and the Cavs - Sixers game (7:00 p.m.).

In one of the biggest games in recent Philadelphia history, the Sixers nearly squandered a 30-point lead, surviving a huge comeback from the Cleveland Cavaliers to squeak out a two-point victory, 132-130, a 13th win on the bounce.

Washington Wizards forward Markieff Morris (5) shakes hands with guard Bradley Beal (3) after Morris was charged with two technical fouls and ejected.

Cleveland leads the season series against Philadelphia, 2-1, which includes a, 113-91, win the last time they met at Wells Fargo Center (November 27). Defensively, over those five road victories, Cleveland has held Philadelphia to 97.0 points on.439 shooting from the field (.317 3FG%) and forced 16.0 turnovers (19.4 points off).

The Kings pulled out a 94-93 win over the Grizzlies on Bogdan Bogdanovic's 16-footer with one second to play.

From an individual perspective, LeBron James has had success when playing Philly this season. Whatever the reason, they were in a funk from the start - James even missed a dunk.
