In 2012, when Kate Middleton was pregnant with Charlotte, she issued a Letters patent to parliament under the Great Seal of the Realm making an official ruling declaring all of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children would be named princes and princesses.

Squint and you can make out how the sign says parking has been suspended in this entire area for the duration between the 9 to the 30 April... for an "event".

Prior to Andrews' report, Kensington Palace had only shared that Middleton was expected to give birth during the month of April.

However, it's now kicked up a gear as the road outside the Lindo Wing, where Kate will give birth, has been closed to the public. Britain's Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, are expecting their third child to be born at the hospital, sometime in the coming weeks.

Barriers and parking restrictions are being put in place outside the hospital's private Lindo Wing.

Barriers have also been set up on the street outside to accommodate the television crews, journalists and photographers that are expected to gather once she goes into labour.

Prince William and Kate chose not to find out whether they were having a boy or a girl.

Last September Kensington Palace announced the new royal baby is on the way - causing a fever-pitch excitement to ripple across the world. Her birth dominated the news agenda in the United Kingdom and hit the headlines around the world.

Upon her arrival, Princess Kate will be tended to by Dr. Guy Thorpe-Beeston, Dr. Alan Farthing, and their medical team. That's because Mary is one of the Queen's middle names, and also her grandmother's name.

Prices for a standard room package start at £5,900 for the first 24 hours of a "normal" delivery, although mothers who have previously had a baby at the Lindo Wing, like Katherine, may be eligible for a 10% reduction.

If the baby is born on April 21, the child will share a birthday with the Queen, who turns 92 that day.
