The biggest addition will be instant access to new games as they release.

It all sounds very similar to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass, which offers access to many of that consoles' titles for $9.99/month. It'll also include all the titles from the existent Origin Access tier. With Origin Access you had a 10 hour trial period for new EA games.

Starting this summer, Origin Access Premier members can play new EA releases on PC before anyone else, including "Madden 19", "FIFA 19", "Battlefield V", and "Anthem".

Millions of players have experienced the fun of playing more games through our subscription programs, and today we're taking another groundbreaking step with Origin Access Premier.

Through Origin Access Premier, users will be able to enjoy full access to new Electronic Arts releases on PC before their official release dates, including Anthem, Battlefield V, Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, and Madden NFL 19.

To this day, Origin Access has existed to provide access to older games in the PC gaming vault from Electronic Arts. That'll help keep your hard drive from getting too cluttered, or needing to set aside a night purely for downloading and installing EA's ever-more-massive games. Subscribers will also be able to play games ahead of launch through the service. It's an interesting experiment from EA, particularly when you consider the PC audience hasn't exactly been kind to its advances due to its games sporting consumer unfriendly DRM like Denuvo.
