Trump Keeps the Pressure on Disney/ABC Chief Bob Iger

  • Roseanne Barr arrives at the 75th annual Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday Jan. 7 2018 in Beverly Hills Calif

"I mistakenly thought she was white", she wrote, a day after she said, "i thought she was saudi [sic]". "I was surprised they didn't do anything about it", Arnold told CNN's Anderson Cooper.

However, as Barr's Right-wing supporters began complaining about "the liberal media" taking her down for being an ardent Donald Trump supporter, the comedian ditched her promise to leave Twitter and instead began re-sharing conspiracy theories about her ouster.

"Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have chose to cancel her show", Dungey said in a statement confirming that Roseanne was cancelled indefinitely. "I said look, someone has got to tell her that Donald Trump doesn't carry his own phone", he explained.

Despite saying she blames herself and a couple of apologies, Roseanne Barr still seems to be pointing the finger at others when it comes to the cancelation of her sitcom.

Fans and celebrities have rallied for a spin-off without Roseanne featuring the rest of the Conner clan.

"The whole thing has been pretty brutal on her, and I hope she can find some peace", he added.

Barr originally said her tweet about Jarrett was "indefensible" and begged for forgiveness, reports CBS News correspondent Vladimir Duthiers.

'He said: what were you thinking when you did this?

"While I am going to miss being part of the ABC family, I believe that to sit back, or remain silent in an attempt to distance myself from the actions/statements of others would unintentionally endorse or placate those statements which I find truly offensive". Any criticism from ABC is the definition of freedom of speech - whether it's Jimmy Kimmel railing on the president or ABC News calling out a lie - those people are protected. That didn't last long - she was back within hours.

Barr has also shared her praise for her TV sister Laurie Metcalf and John Goodman, who plays her character's husband on Roseanne, stating: "I just wish ABC had not thrown two of the greatest actors in the world out with me - Laurie and John. I am disappointed in her actions to say the least". The only one left said she was signing off Twitter for a while and she was offering "everyone involved one more apology and prayers".
