In a shocking incident, bodies of seven women and four men were found in a house in Delhi's Burari area on Sunday morning.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the head of the family is running a plywood shop in the same premises. According to initial reports, all of them were from the same family. The Delhi Police has sent a team to the spot, and an investigation is underway.

The bodies were found hanging, said the police. The house has been barricaded and the police were questioning the neighbours.

"Bodies of 7 women and 4 men including three teenagers have been found".

The entire area surrounding 24, Sant Nagar, Burari has been cordoned off.

Police said the quarrel between the two groups dates back to 2013.

Police were investigating what led to their deaths, Mr Kumar said, adding no suicide note was found.

The police are looking to ascertain if it is a case of mass suicide or the bodies were hanged after being killed. They are now scanning the CCTV footage from the area.
