  • President Trump Calls Omarosa 'That Dog' As He Denies Using the N-Word

President Trump on Tuesday continued to lash out at Omarosa Manigault Newman over explosive claims his former "Celebrity Apprentice" co-star turned White House aide makes about him in her new book, "Unhinged".

Ms Manigault-Newman also revealed that she was sacked by then - incoming Chief of Staff, John Kelly in December 2017, and claimed she was forcibly removed from the White House. Omarosa has come under fire for recording General John Kelly firing her in a meeting that took place in the White House Situation Room.

Trump has a history of using the phrase "like a dog" to disparage people, especially those who are fired. This is his pattern with African-Americans, and he doesn't know how to control himself.

The recording released by CBS appears to be of an internal call during Trump's 2016 campaign.

"People in the White House hated her", Trump wrote.

But a secret recording of a phone call between Manigault Newman and the president reportedly after he learned she was leaving the White House shows a different perspective. "In my opinion as a tool of manipulation of those around her", said Pierson. who pointed to Manigault's invocation of Patton's name in the book promoting interviews over the past several days.

Omarosa told CBS that she found it "ironic" that such high-level campaign and White House staffers were reacting in such a manner. "Is she going to a garden wedding right after?", another viewer tweeted while one person gave her the advice, "#1 turn your attitude down a notch or two.

She added that the president "has done nothing" to help combat the battles. But the problem isn't as simple as not believing her, because it only gets even more complicated when she has people like former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen tweeting that Trump didn't eat a piece of paper. She has faced accusations of hypocrisy and cashing in, given that she didn't speak out against Trump while working for him.

President Trump lashes out at former White House adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman after she released audio recordings she made during her employment; Kevin Corke reports from the White House. Trump said Monday he spoke to "Apprentice" producer Mark Burnett and said no tapes exist of his using "that word".

NBC's "Today" programme on Sunday played the brief recording, in which Mr. Trump claims to have had no knowledge that she was sacked and expresses regret at the news.

In tweets Monday night, Trump denied ever using "such a awful and disgusting word", and his aides have denied having strategized about how to contain the damage if such a tape surfaced.

"If we make this a friendly departure...you can look at your time here in the White House as a year of service to the nation and then you can go on without any type of difficulty in the future relative to your reputation", Kelly tells her. "I also never heard Omarosa complain that he had done that, and so the only thing that's changed is that she's now selling books".

In the audio, Pierson can be heard saying she wanted more info on how the word might have been used so they could "maybe try to figure a way to spin it".

"I took it all kind of at face value", she said.

The controversy has also raised questions over whether she could face legal repercussions for recording in the situation room.
