Apple's announced a Special Event that will take place on 12 September 2018.

The device will be called the iPhone XS and will come in two different sizes: 5.8-inches and 6.5-inches.

Apple is preparing to release three new smartphones this year, including the largest iPhone ever, a device that may have a bigger display than arch-rival Samsung's flagship phone, Bloomberg reported in February.

A larger 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus.

Apple will unveil its newest devices at an event on Wednesday, September 12, at the Steve Jobs Theater at its Cupertino campus, as confirmed by invites sent to media today. It is not September 12, of course, but that's not stopping us from taking a peek.

One Apple iPhone X faceup and pointing to the left with another iPhone X, this time face down, underneath it. The 2018 iPhone launch event is going to be huge as we're expecting three new iPhone models to come out this year. It'll have the same iPhone X edge-to-edge screen along with a glass back supported by a steel frame, which stays in line with previous models. The iPhone X now is only available in black or white.

Apple, as always, has remained tight-lipped about its product plans, and it's not clear how the company will pitch so many new models of the iPhone to customers. Notably, all new iPhone models are expected to have edge-to-edge displays, gesture controls, and FaceID. It is also expected to ship in the regular Space Gray and Silver options and be powered by Apple's next-gen A12 chip.

What's most eye-catching, however, is that there is a new watch face that packs an incredible amount of information on-screen - in fact, it seems nearly like information overload at first glance. And we may now know what the next watch looks like.

What appears to be Apple Watch Series 4 (used with permission from 9to5Mac). As for the details and specs, top Apple insider and TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo leaks most of those details even before we get a glimpse of the aforementioned leaks from China. There's also been chatter of a new iPad Pro, for instance, and indeed refreshes elsewhere in Apple's hardware line-up.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
