Ventura Woman’s Body Found From Colorado River Boating Accident

A recreational boat carrying 10 people and another vessel with six people on board collided head-on along the well-traveled stretch of the river, the office said.
The body of Californian woman Kirra Drury was the latest to be retrieved from the Colorado River when police divers pulled the 24-year-old out of the water at about 12.35pm on Tuesday (Californian time).
Christine Lewis, 51, of Visalia was discovered in a section of the river along the California-Arizona border, Mohave County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said.
Several people were rescued by nearby boaters, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said.
The boats were moving close to 50 miles per hour, according to an emergency dispatcher.
A spokesman for the San Bernardino County Fire District says that one of those hurt in the accident was a woman who sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas. Each boat had a mix of family and friends who were from out of the area.
The Hallet boat with 10 people aboard was northbound and a Sleek Craft boat, occupied by six people, was southbound when they collided head on. The nine others were transported to area hospitals by ambulance.
Ten people were injured in the crash.
Mohave County, which borders the Colorado River, is a county in Arizona. "Once (the missing) are located, then we can continue pursuing that information".
More than 60 crew members from Arizona and California continued to search on boats at sunrise Monday, tracking their progress with a computer program that mapped the riverbed, according to USA Today. Authorities have deployed helicopters to search from overhead while divers look below the water for any sign of the missing people.
