Former first daughter Barbara Bush gets married in "very secret wedding"

Bush's daughter, Barbara Pierce Bush, made sure to pay tribute to her late grandmother and namesake, Barbara Bush, while tying the knot with her fiancé, screenwriter Craig Coyne, on Sunday. The bride wore an ivory silk crepe gown by Vera Wang, according to a statement from the office of George W. Bush.

According to People, only 20 family members were in attendance at the low-key ceremony, held at the Bush family's compound in Kennebunkport, Maine.

Former President George Bush took on another important role this weekend, walking his daughter down the aisle at her wedding.

The couple had started dating after being set up on a blind date by friends in November.

"Happy tears, heart exploding as I watched this handsome girl get married in the place that means love and family", Jenna posted on Instagram.




"I just told her and everybody how much she means to me".

The newlyweds plan to live in New York City. Her husband's name is Craig Coyne.

She is co-founder and Chair of Global Health Corps. He has also appeared in the films "The Snowtown Murders", "Look at Me", and the early hit web series "Lonelygirl15", according to iMDB.

Barbara is a Texas native and a graduate of Yale University.

In a Monday morning Instagram post, the second President Bush said he and his wife, former first lady Laura Bush, "are so proud of our compassionate, daring, fierce, kind, intelligent, loving daughter". The groom is a screenwriter and a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
