  • Ronaldo accused of rape denies charge calls it'fake news

Kathryn Mayorga says Ronaldo raped her in 2009 while she repeatedly screamed no, according to a lawsuit filed in Nevada, CNN reported.

The report further said, according to Stovall, that she had pledged never to speak of the accusation again and Ronaldo allegedly paid her Dollars 375,000.

The shattered model gave an interview to German news magazine Der Spiegel where she described how Ronaldo persisted in his sexual advances despite her numerous rebuffs.

According to the legal docs, Mayorga is claiming Cristiano admitted to his reps "she said "no" and "stop" several times" and they responded to the crisis, their star having committed rape, by paying her off.

"What they said today, fake - fake news", the footballer said.

Monday's statement concludes by saying Mayorga hopes to encourage victims to report assaults "no matter how famous, wealthy or powerful they may appear to be". But it is part of the job.

"I'm a happy man and all good". Ronaldo had taken her by the arm and insisted she join his friends before convincing her to let him buy her a drink.

Las Vegas Police has confirmed it has re-opened an investigation into an allegation of sexual assault from June 13, 2009, but no names have been released. OcampoGomez said she also asked for a "sexual assault test", which was performed at the University Medical Center.

The file accuses Ronaldo and those working for him of battery, infliction of emotional distress, coercion and fraud, abuse of a vulnerable person, racketeering and civil conspiracy, defamation, abuse of process, breach of contract, and negligence for allowing details of the confidential settlement to leak out. "He wouldn't let me leave", she said.

Mayorga told Der Spiegel she no longer felt bound by the non-disclosure agreement as she suffers from the consequences of the night nine years ago.

The lawsuit said Mayorga reported the alleged assault to the Las Vegas police the same day and underwent an examination at a local hospital.

Mayorga spoke with Der Spiegel and provided a detailed account of the 2009 incident. (...) And she can't even get out of bed some days. A Portuguese citizen, Ronaldo was transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid in the summer of 2009 for a then-record sum of 94 million euros, or about $130 million.

Ronaldo has been considered one of the world's best - if not the best - player for a decade.

Last year, Ronaldo ran afoul of Spanish authorities, who accused him of tax evasion.
